I rediscovered sewing at the beginning of 2008. I go in spurts. It has been awhile since I sat down at the table and started sewing. It seems like I need a "project" to get me motivated. So this weekend I decided to sew Korby a Halloween bag.
Now if you know my daughter at all, she is a HUGE tom boy. So when I picked out this fabric.... I knew she would love the spiderwebs, and you can never go wrong with stripes. I got out my machine Friday night and finished this in a few hours.
It was a hit! She was excited! I told her she could carry it around on Halloween for a treat bag. She took it right up to her room and put it on the top bunk with the Star Wars Storm Trooper costume. What a trendy Storm Trooper she will be. :)

The Great Pumpkin Run was this Saturday. Korby ran with all the 3rd graders. It was such a great event. The kids run 1 cross country mile. The weather cooperated and was beautiful that morning. Korby finished is 15.45seconds. Go Korby!

Here is Korby afterwards in the car. She was worn out! New t-shirt, a pumpkin medal, and a very proud mama taking her picture.
keep it up!!!

I love that bag-making them is one of my favorite sewing crafts. As for a snack for teachers...I'd bring something with chocolate. We always like getting chocolate chip cookies or another type of cookie. They are easy to eat and yummy!
