I have not blogged for 2 weeks. Shame on me! I love to read other people's blogs. I start to say to myself "My life is boring compared to theirs." And then I end up not blogging about the average things that happen in our lives. The day to day stuff. Like...how many times can I tell you I'm folding laundry, whats for dinner, or what my kids are doing? Its the same old day to day happens. I saw this magnet one time with a nice looking wooden bridge on it. It said: Build a Bridge, and Get Over It! Isn't that the truth! So now onto blogging!
Alot of little things have happened over the last few weeks. I'm still making ALOT of corn bags. I picked an excellent time of year to let everyone know that they are for sale. The extra money will come in handy for Christmas this year. My daughter has informed me that she wants a little brother for Christmas. YIKES! I keep trying to tell her that will NEVER happen. She is really into our neighbor boy. I think Alex is somewhere around 18 months and absolutely adorable. I told her she can go over there and pretend he is her brother. :)
My mom and sister threw a baby shower for a good friend of ours. Korby and I had my mom take our picture. I still cant believe she is already 9. I keep telling her "I cant wait until you are older and I can tell everyone the story about how you wanted a baby brother for Christmas." She would make an Excellent big sister (don't tell her I said that)
Anyway here we are at the shower.

Have you ever played the dirty diaper game at a baby shower? Its one of my absolute favorites! Here is what you need: 6 diapers, 6 different kinds of candy bars- the ones with stuff inside are the best, a microwave, and willing participants of the game. Label diapers 1-6 and cut a small hunk off each candy bar and place in its own diaper. Microwave for 20-30 seconds. Make sure your candy bar is good and mushy..almost runny. Pass around the diapers for everyone to touch, smell, even taste if they want to. The participants need to see how many candy bars they can guess. The person with the most correct answers wins!
Caution: Some guests may want to stick their face in the diaper, get absolutely grossed out, laugh entirely way to hard, or cheat off their neighbor's paper.
Jennie WON this game. Pregnant ladies know their candy bars!
i love to read even the boring parts of peoples lives---the little bits and pieces that sometimes go unnoticed. if you think about it, thats what makes up most of our lives. glad youre back, missed ya, keep on blogging!
