Look what I made!

We are big into recycling, reusing, and freecycle in our house. I have been saving these wine bottle corkscrews for something. I saw this idea in a magazine (cant remember which one) and decided to give it a try. At the time I remember thinking that it would take forever to save that many corkscrews.

Well guess what it didn't! So I had my Dad pick up a hose clamp (thanks Dad) and of course I had the cork screws. This is an easy project and might be kind of fun to give as a gift to someone that enjoys wine. You just fit the pieces inside the clamp like a puzzle. My husband tightened the outside with a butter knife. I really enjoy the taste of Bare Foot wine, as you can see by all the cute little feet in the picture. :)

Here is my new trivet being put to good use. I think you could use it for a lot of things. Pots, pan, hot dishes, drinks, candles, anything you can come up with.
I am off to read more of New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. If you have not already, you should start reading these!
