Sugar Cookies
Mix Together:
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 egg (beaten)
Add:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
Roll into balls the size of a walnut
Roll in a bowl of decorative sugar of your choice
Flatten with at glass and place on a cookie sheet
Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

These turned out wonderful! Nice and light, with a yummy taste. I highly recommend trying it.

Well, if you have never crocheted I would advice you to start with a simple pattern scarf that you wouldn't need to increase or decrease, but you would still be practicing the stitches.
Don't give up on your knitting though, once you have everything figured out, you will find so many cool things you can make that you will never want to stop! :o)
