We woke up this morning to the snow. It finally arrived here in Nebraska. Our 13 yr old son is obsessed with shoveling snow. He has been ever since he was little. After completing his school assignments I sent him outdoors. He ended up shoveling our driveway and sidewalks and 3 of our neighbors as well. He does not do it for money or even to be nice, he just LOVES shoveling!! Korby got out of school a little early today. The teachers had some extra plan time in the afternoon. So we decided to paint some wooden ornaments I picked up at Joann's. Ever since she was little we loved doing art projects together. I find it relaxing. Just this year she has kind of started to grow out of it. So I was very happy when she decided to hang out and paint with me!
After she was done with the ornaments she decided to get out the art easel and painted this beautiful Christmas tree. She is so proud of this and so am I. She told me "Mom we have got to put this one in a frame." Then she signed her name and the year and left it to dry. That 40 minutes of art with Korby was alot of fun for me.

  3. Oh, I really like her art. I just loved doing art with my mom, and I love that I keep having good memories of the fun things I did with her while I'm doing art things with my boys. I bet your daughter will wind up with some great memories too.
