We literally ate dinner from
The Dog House tonight. This is a little place here in town where you walk up to the window to order a 1/2 pound hot dog to your liking. After carefully reading the menu, I decided on the Chow Hound Chili Dog. This place is great! He gives the kiddos a gummy hot dog while you wait. The only downfall for some, is that you have to order to go. Anyway, I had to take a picture of this dog, because its HUGE and quite yummy. :)

My daughter has informed me that she is addicted to reading. This made me want to jump up and down in circles. I love to read, but my hubby and son don't care for it. She discovered
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid and is completely hooked. She just finished the 3rd book that came out last week. This is her, last week reading BEFORE school. She got ready early so she would have time to read.

JB, our dog volunteered to model one of my finished hats for me. I originally made this for one of the cute neighbor boys. I didn't make it long enough, so JB got to model it instead. My son has informed me that the blue is "to girly". I say, the boys are only almost 2, and its a cute color. Wish me luck on getting it right this time.

This is Kalen and Korby during the Nebraska bowl game. I had Kiley take their picture to send with thank you cards after the holidays. I convinced Korby to let me put pony tails in for 5 minutes, just for pictures.
I have been homeschooling Kalen for the last 2 years of school. Our goal was to prepare him for high school in the fall of 2009. Tomorrow he starts taking 2 classes a day until the end of the school year in middle school, just to get him back into that classroom setting. I'm hoping he makes a new friend or 2, learns something, and finishes feeling like he accomplished something.
I'm soo looking forward to the 2 hours that I will have all to myself.
the hotdog looks yummy!! Nice hat for Jb make sure he wears that on cold days! haha

ReplyDeletebest wishes to your son at public school. it's a bit nerve-wrecking, i bet.

ReplyDeleteBeing addicted to reading is a great, great thing. I hope your two hours were wonderful.
ReplyDeletei wanted to put this here in case you didnt come back and check on my blog.
ReplyDeletemy son is ten and i have a real hard time finding reading material for him. he's just not in to all the fantasy/Harry Potter stuff and there is so much of that right now and it's hard to find anything else.
he used to really like the My Weird School series but i think hes outgrowing them a bit. (they're for about ages 7-10)...he likes carl hiaasens stuff for kids and anything by judy blume, even some of the titles that i thought he might think were too "girly."
right now he's reading The Phantom Tollbooth but i dont know if he's that into it.. he likes stories with "real kids."
i wish the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid would release a new book every month or so...It would make my life a lot easier.
:)
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those hot dog look good!!!!!!!!!!
