I have been making hats for little ones lately. A good friend just had a baby girl, and I have 2 cute little boys that live next door. These hats are made with bulky 5 yarn and a round loom. They are easy once you get the hang of it. If you go and buy a round loom, the instructions to make a hat come with it. I bought the set that has 4 different sized looms.
Yesterday I told my husband he was officially in the dog house. He hasn't been feeling well lately, and rather than rest and take care of himself, he keeps pushing himself to do more. So that landed his butt in the Dog House. I sent him a text at the end of the day to tell him the only way to get out of the dog house was with a present for me that was not edible. This picture does not really do these beautiful flowers justice! My dining room smells wonderful. I told him he can stay out of the dog house until the flowers die. :)
Thanks for the beautiful flowers Kiley!
I made these yummy pumpkin cookies yesterday. I borrowed the recipe from Jessica at http://turkeycookies.blogspot.com/ . They turned out great!!! It was 60 degrees here yesterday in Lincoln, Nebraska. It didn't really seem like cookie baking weather. I love it when the house is chilly and you turn on the oven and smell cookies. :)
Today its 22 degrees, but it feels like 5 degrees with the wind chill!
And my last little story for you. I was impatiently waiting the arrival of the 4th book in the Twilight series form the library. It seems like forever ago that I was added to the waiting list! So Wednesday night I decided I was going to go and buy it, because I couldn't wait any longer! We went to Target and they were SOLD OUT! I was so bummed! I had finally talked myself into buying this book (with the help of Kiley) and nothing. So Thursday morning the phone rings and its the library....my book was in waiting for me. Can you believe that?? I'm a big believer in "Everything Happens for a Reason". So now I'm back in the land of Edward and Bella. I'm going to read this one slowly, because when its over....its over. :( :)
