Rocking at the Sock Hop

Every year at Korby's school they have a Sock Hop. PTO hires a DJ to play music, student council sells concessions, kids, parents, and teachers dance the night away in their socks. Its alot of fun. Ever since Korby was in Kindergarten she has had her fixed at the Salon before going. This year she asked for a "punk rock" hairdo. Meagan the hairstylist did a great job!
This was a sign in the salon that made me laugh so hard!! Could you imagine your child taking a drink of espresso??? I love it in a mocha, but not on its own.
This is a picture that Kiley took at the sock hop. The kids had a blast this year. The DJ brought in those fancy lights and had a bubble machine going. Somehow it didn't cover up the aroma of hot stinky feet! :)
I'm the PTO President this year and had alot to do with the planning of the event. I could not have done it without all the wonderful parents that help out!! Parent volunteers are awesome!
The DJ called my name over the microphone and gave me my very own BLOW UP MICROPHONE! I was thrilled! You can tell by my daughter tugging on me that she was as equally thrilled as me. The Principal recommended that I start our PTO meetings off on the microphone. :)
Needless to say the blow up microphone has joined the blow up air guitar in Korby's room.

Jessica had come up with some excellent interview questions for me to answer. Make sure and check back tomorrow for all the answers. You never know... I may interview you next. :)
Enjoy your Saturday Evening!

  3. Love the sign! We have a day at church where a couple takes all the kids so that the parents can go shopping (at Christmas time) and they say that anyone that is late gets a free puppy. I always get the kids on time!!! I do not need a puppy. I will have to tell them to add coffee to the list;)
