I have been having alot of fun knitting lately. I have been to 3 classes so far, they are an absolute blast! If you do not know how to knit, I highly recommend that you find a local yarn shop and see if they have classes for you. The grey scarf is the one that I have been working on in class. Each week she teaches us a new stitch. The other scarf I started on my own. A good friend of mine has a birthday on Sunday....wish me luck on getting done so I can give that to her.
I find myself knitting in all sorts of places:
in the car when I'm waiting for Kalen to come out of class
while I'm watching TV
when I'm on the phone with my friend Stephanie
in the bed at night before I go to sleep
- in knitting class
I think this might mean that I am getting addicted to knitting. Does anyone have any suggestions on an extremely EASY knitting project to do after the scarf??
what about washcloths?
ReplyDeleteBeat me to the washcloths! but actually, why don't you try your hand at knitting with circular needles or dpn's? wristwarmers are fairly easy to do, and quite fun, and they look like you are a pro when really all you do is... well, knit!
ReplyDeleteKnitting a baby blanket could be an easy one too.
ReplyDeletefirst of all, are you on raverly.com yet? if not go register, now! second, i think you should knit a felted bag :) they are super easy and a great way to learn a few techniques... decreasing, knitting in the round, increasing... then you felt it so any mistakes magically disappear! you're gonna need a new bag for the changing season anyway, right? right! i will see if i still have the free sophie pattern saved and i will send it to you :)
ReplyDeleteor, how about a pair of pocketbook slippers?
