Crock Pot Sloppy Joes recipe

Kiley bought us this cute red crock pot a few months ago and I decided I needed to put it to use more often. If you know me at all, you know that I HATE cooking. I'm not sure why, I just do.

Now that the kids are back in school and Kalen has football practice after school, my kids come home tired, crabby, and starving! I have lots of energy in the morning to throw some stuff in the crock pot to serve in the evening. No problem!

This was an easy meal to prepare. Normally we are a manwich kind of family. So this should be interesting! My predictions are: Kiley and I will like it. Kalen will LOVE it (that boy will eat anything at this point in his life), Korby will whine and complain about the fact that there are green pepper and onion diced up in it. She will refuse to eat it...again this is just my prediction.

Here is the recipe for you and your family to try. Mine is cooking as we speak. Check back later tonight in my comment section and I will tell you what we thought of it. :)

2 lbs hamburger
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
1 16oz can diced tomatoes- drained
1 cup of water
2 packs of sloppy joe seasoning- We LOVE Williams brand
3 tbsp of brown sugar
1 onion finely chopped
1 green pepper finely chopped
Brown hamburger in skillet. Drain. Put all ingredients in crock pot. Mix it all up. Cover. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on High for 3-4 hours.

Serve on Hamburger buns and Enjoy!

If you have any crock pot recipes that you and your family love, please leave them in the comment section. I love trying new recipes in this cute red crock pot!

Happy Thursday. Enjoy your Day!

  2. Heavenly Ham Casserole in the crockpot! 6med potatoes sliced thin
    1 med onion chopped
    1 lb ham cubed
    1 cup cheese
    1 can cream of mushroom
Put 1/2 potatoes then 1/2onion, then 1/2 ham and cheese repeat with rest of potatoes/onions/ham/cheese spread soup over top so air doesn't get to potatoes if possible sprinkle with paprika cook on low 8-10hrs

  4. Tammie- How funny we have the same crockpot! As far as feeding your boy...good luck girl! We have a lot of ramen noodles for when he wants a snack. Since hes been in football, we make him baked potatoes every night, along with whatever else we are having.
