Tutorial: How To Make a Time Capsule & A Giveaway Winner!

Don't forget that there are 6, yes, 6, other giveaways going on right now.

This is one of my all time favorite projects that Korby & I did together.

We created our very own time capsule and you can to!

You can make this with simple items that you have laying around the house.

We used:
*a cereal box
*tape
*construction paper
*markers

You can put anything you want inside.
*list of current events
*newspaper clipping from today
*list of your child's favorite things
*Korby drew a picture of our family
*pictures

Use your imagination.

Place all of the items you collect into the cereal box.
Tape it shut on both ends.
Wrap in construction paper.
Let your child decorate it with markers.

Korby did all the writing on the outside, I helped her with the spelling.

Make sure and write today's date on it somewhere.

Now write DO NOT OPEN UNTIL _________ year.

We picked 5 years, which honestly, is way to long.

Go and put it away somewhere in the top of a closet.

I love that Korby was only, almost 7 yrs old, when we did this project.

She is now, almost 11 yrs old.

Everything about her has changed so much.

I cant wait to open it with her in 2011.

We Have a Winner to Announce From the At The Blue Barn Giveaway.

Random # Generator picked #56......
