Craft FAIL 101

It all started out as a clay project.

It isn't very often, that my daughter Korby, wants to craft with me.

Yesterday we decided to try and make a clay pinch pot.
She did a great job.

We laughed and had a great time together.

Then I decided we should bake the clay in the oven.

Under normal circumstances this would be a fantastic idea!

So, Korby and I decide to watch a DVD & eat popcorn.

We are chilling, relaxing, I smell something cooking.

"That's impossible" I say to myself. I'm not cooking anything.

Enter big cloud of smoke coming from kitchen.

Oops! Guess I forgot about the clay in the oven. For the Record...

Cooking clay at 400 degrees for a long period of time is not a good idea.

Just don't do it.

Your house will stink.

Your neighbors will see you run outside with a smoking pan.

Its kind of embarrassing.

I guess I like to find things out the hard way.
This was the K that Korby constructed.

That clay was a bright yellow.

Now its my Craft Fail Award.
