Where do you even start when you haven't blogged all summer.Life has been crazy around here. That is an understatement.
Its all finally coming to a calm.
Lets see....
My Dad went into the hospital on July 14th for pneumonia.
A few days later he was in the ICU on a ventilator, fighting for his life.
He remained on that ventilator for 2 weeks.
He had open heart surgery.
He had a mild stroke.
He went through all that and was off the ventilator.
He progressed nicely and was transferred to a local rehab hospital.
He is healing slowly, but surely.
He seems to be back to himself....just a little every day.
Korby, my daughter, had an awesome season of softball.
Her team dominated the field every week.
She determined that catcher is her favorite position.
She got her all time FAV teacher, Mr. VanBibber for 5th grade.
She will be playing the snare drum.
Kalen, my son, volunteered at the local Eco Store.
He got a nail stuck in his finger.
I had to take him to the ER.
They washed it out.
Later that wk the DR gave him meds, it was infected.
It has healed, he has a nice battle scar.
He has been swimming a lot this summer.
I envy his tan.
He will be a sophomore in HS this year.
I'm proud to say, he has matured into a caring young man,
that I'm extremely proud of, over the summer.
I have still been walking and losing weight.
I am down 45lbs.
None of my clothes fit me anymore.
I feel better now than I did at 25 yrs old.
Throughout the entire summer my husband has been working FT.
He has been my rock.
He has lost over 30 lbs with me.
This summer has made me realize:
Life is to short to forget the ones you love.
I love my family.
I need to continue on my weight loss journey.
I really miss blogging.
I cannot live with out coffee.
Thank you for being patient with me during my blogging break.
Thank you for reading my blog.
i was just about to drop you an email but honestly, i think you just covered it all here in the blog. :)

ReplyDeleteGlad your dad is ok and that the rest of the summer is going well. I also had to take a month off from blogging because it was just to much with all the fun summer stuff going on.
