Burger vs Mold Science Project

Our daughter Korby was in the Science Fair at her school last week.

She decided to take on Burger vs Mold as her project.

4 burgers- home, school, Runza, & Burger King

She took pictures of each burger for 23 days & weighed them.
We were shocked at some of the results.

Everyone was fascinated by this project.
Korby had to explain to a lot of people that mold in this case is a good sign.
So the fact that the BK burger still has NO mold is somewhat alarming to me.

Korby did an EXCELLENT job with the judges.
She is really good at explaining this project.

In the end she educated a lot of people about this topic.
I think some people will be thinking twice about where to get a burger from for dinner.

Words can't even describe how proud we are of this awesome girl!

Spring Break officially started after the Science Fair ended.......

We were all ready for it, especially Korby. A few side notes:

*the burgers are so hard they could be considered a weapon

*they do not stink

*yes, they hang out in my kitchen in a dish

*the school burger had the most mold, followed by home, runza had a tiny speck of mold, BK had none

*Korby will be taking them to the district Science Fair, which means these burgers will be in our kitchen a few more weeks
