Meet Elegant Girl & a GIVEAWAY!

Erin is the owner of the Etsy shop Elegant Girl.

1. Please describe yourself in 5 words.

Organized. Creative. Indecisive. Perfectionist. Honest.


2. Where did you learn to make spoon pendants?

I discovered someone on the other side of the country making spoon necklaces in quite a different way.I decided to give my own unique twist on them. I began hunting down spoons at thrift stores & after much experimenting & several failed attempts with the highly sensitive & easy to mess up resin, I became quite pleased with them. :)

3.What is your absolute favorite thing to do on a day off from work?

Well since I currently consider work my day job. My absolute favorite thing would be doing something artsy with my husband, & since my daughter will only want to suck on whatever it is we are doing (shes only 1) as long as she is close by me smiling, I'm in heaven. :) We love uplifting thrift stores items, especially furniture. This will be something I will be taking on more in the not so distant future.

5. How did you decide on your Etsy shop name?

Ahh, the Etsy shop name, that was a hard one. It took me forever to decide & once I did I wasn't happy with the name. One of the reasons I choose Elegant Girl is because I didn't want to use my name, but yet Elegant Girl had the same initials as my name. Clever on my husband's part...he helped me in the decision process :) Also because I knew I may end up doing different items than my spoon pendant necklaces.

    OMG!!!! What beautiful items. Each item I looked at was more beautiful than the one before. It would be really difficult to choose just one favorite but I was able to narrow it down to 3 ..... the brown spoon with the seashell (I love the beach), the olive/white yarn wreath and since I'm from Steeler country, the yellow and charcoal yarn wreath is super cool. What a wonderful shop with lovely items.

    I love just about everything! Really! (Aside to Erin: if you don't believe me, check out how many of your marvelous creations items have been Etsy "Hearted" by Salleefur!)

    Anyway, the wreaths are beautiful and I can't decide whether my favorite is the "Hand Wrapped Powder Blue and White Yarn Wreath" and the Spring Wreath (Honeysuckle and Cream)

    Choosing a favorite Spoon Necklace is even harder: I love the Prize and the Honeysuckle Rays...Tied for "Most Favorite Favorite" are probably "Vintage Silky B" and the "Solitary Pearl."
