Sewing "Productive" Monday
I bought this fabric at the beginning of October for making pillows for the couch. Life has been busy, I bet everyone can relate to that. Yesterday (Monday) there was no school, so we decided to make it an easy day around here. Korby had a friend over and they disappeared into her room for hours. Kalen kept himself busy with the computer. So I decided to bring out my sewing machine and start on those pillows. Its amazing how much you can get done when the kids are busy. Not only did I sew 4 pillows, but 15 corn bags and some hand warmers. This was a very productive sewing day! Anyway...I had Kalen take a picture of me when I started the project. My dining room is sort of my craft room. The kitchen table is where I work on any projects.
And this is later on in the evening. After dinner I finished stuffing and sewing the corners of the pillows. This old couch needed some new pillows, it told me so. I tried to bring out some of the green that we recently painted the room. I'm really into green and orange right now. I even have some left over fabric.....I'm thinking maybe a valance for over the front door or a table runner. Who knows....I'm just excited about those pillows!
Great job on the pillows! I know what you mean about time and all...just having had a baby three weeks ago. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteThose pillows turned out great!
ReplyDeletei love the fabric you chose for the pillows...you did a great job.
ReplyDeletei've recently started learning to sew as well. everyday is a learning experience.
and i know what you mean about accomplishing a lot when the kids are occupied. sometimes a simple five or ten minute sewing project takes hours because of all the interruptions. it can get very frustrating.
