Update since My last post

Has it really been 1 week since my last blog post? Shame on me! I have to admit, I log on to blog and then get caught up in reading my favorite blogs, then run out of time! Well here is a little peek into what has been going on around here in the last week!

I decided after careful thought to take Kiley(hubby) out to dinner for his birthday. We went to a little Mexican restaurant right outside of Lincoln, called Mamasitas. I had a to die for Margarita! We enjoyed dinner and took this picture afterwards. Then we decided to head out to Barnes and Noble.


Now you are probably looking at this book asking what I was thinking right? That is exactly what I was thinking! 1st off, we love going to Barnes & Noble to get a coffee and wander aimlessly throughout all the books! Especially without kids. So....I'm in the arts & crafts book section when... My hubby around the corner stumbles across this book! I found the title hilarious, so had to take a picture for you. We had a great time wandering, kid free, and made no purchases in the end.

OK, this is Saturday night. I'm sure by now you all are aware that I'm in Nebraska, Home of the Cornhuskers Football. Don't tell ANYONE this, but I am not really a fan! Yes I know, many generations of both sides of our families were, my husband is, my children are, but me...not so much. My job on football game day is to drop my husband and son off downtown & pick them up after the game. My daughter and I head out to my parents for the husker game and get together. Korby was wearing the famous Corn Cob hat! I tried it on, but she looked much cuter!

Later on in the week, Kiley grilled ribs. I have to brag a little, he is an excellent grill master. We love it when he grills.

OK, this my friends is Kiley's official birthday, September 30. My parents took us all out to dinner at Texas Road House. His friends at work told him yesterday that they put you on a saddle with a cowboy hat to sing happy birthday. I told him "There is no way a restaurant would do that. I think the guys at work are giving you a hard time." Well guess what.. They bring out the saddle, cowboy hat, and pretty girls! This was the happiest Kiley was all night!
