This is me in our living room filling more corn bag orders. They keep trickling in and I love it! I sent out an email about making some for valentines gifts. I think they would be a nice, thoughtful, and romantic gift to give!
Anyway, this has been part of my afternoon routine. I borrowed the 5th season of Six Feet Under from the library, so I sit and watch that and fill corn bags or fold laundry. I absolutely love that show.

I started my knitting class tonight. WOW! It was so much fun. I have to admit these were not my feelings at first. Honestly, I was a bit nervous, and walked in to a group of 12 women already knitting. The teacher was somewhat overwhelmed by all the students. There ended up being close to 20. She showed me what my first step was and I thought I might puke. I didn't get it at all.
Needless to say, I caught on and am really and truly knitting! I was there for 2 hours and this is my started project. I am quite proud! My daughter was disappointed in me that this was all i had done in 2 hours. :)
I have to say the teacher was so calm and patient and very encouraging! This helped me alot. I cant wait to go back next week!
congrats on the knitting!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great for a first class! I mean, I've only begun using circular needles because I was ehem... terrified of them. Also of dpn's. so you've started with the right foot, congrats!!! you'll find it addictive!
ReplyDeleteYay! You are becoming a knitter, congratulions!!
ReplyDeleteWell, about selling on etsy. It's hard in the beginning to create an inventory, get used to the site, take pictures, etc... but specially to get the first sale, but if you are patient, treat your customers well and have good items, things will sure get better.
I have lots of customers that come back, and that is what makes me really happy, to me it means they truly loved what they bought the first time and they are back for more.
I opened my shop about 11 months ago and have had 45 sales so far, so I'm proud of it. I couldn't make a living out of my shop, but it helps me keep busy and with that little money I can support my crafts and even buy little things here and there.
That's that!
:o)
wooo hooo, way to go girl! look at you, rockin' the sticks! :) what are you working on?
ReplyDeletei love the green paint on your walls, by the way. i think i am going to paint a similar color just as soon as it warms up enough to leave the dorrs and windows open for a weekend.
