As I have mentioned before I am the PTO President this year at my daughter's school. On Friday the 13th we hosted our 1st ever Waffleman event. The waffleman has 20 waffle irons and cooks waffles for 2 hours. You pay $5.00 per person to eat as much as you want. Your school makes almost 1/2 of that as a fundraiser. We had some AWESOME parent and teacher volunteers. It was a huge success, but very time consuming on my end.
I think the last 3 weeks are somewhat of a blur to me. I was shocked this morning to hear on the news that today was St. Patricks Day! How is it the 17th already????
So speed up to this weekend. After a very long night at the Waffleman event I was looking forward to going out to my mom and dads on Saturday to relax, knit, visit, and drink margaritas. My parents are in the process of having a garage built in the back yard. They had to have several trees cut down to do this. They rented a wood chipper on Saturday and were busy chipping branches. Kiley and I "chipped" in to help out. Yes that is me by the wood chipper. The wood behind me is a SMALL portion of what there is left of those trees. I think I look kind of sexy by that wood chipper! HAHAHA
I finally finished Korby's scarf today. The high today should be 75 degrees. I don't think she will be sporting this scarf anytime soon due to the wonderful weather. But I was so proud to have it finished!
And this is my newest project. These are going to be fingerless mittens. I am officially learning to knit in the round! The ladies at The Yarn Shop are so patient and helpful!! I really love going there to knit. These mittens will not come in handy anytime soon, but who knows by the time I get done I might wear them to the pool! Wouldn't that be a sight??
you are totally rocking that wood chipper!
ReplyDeletei would give you $5 if you wore fingerless mittens to the pool.
