Science Fair, Coffee, and JB

Last night Korby and her best friend Stacia participated in the Science fair at school. They made a Rube Goldberg machine. It turned out great! Somehow we managed to not take a picture of the project. If you have kiddos at home go to www.rubegoldberg.com to check out what its all about.

Korby, as I have mentioned is a huge tomboy, BUT she asked me to fix her hair for the science fair. I of course was thrilled. She wanted it flipped out. Afterwards she called Stacia upstairs (she wont talk on the phone in the same room as me) and told her "My mom curled my hair, its not a perm but really close". WOO HOO....one step forward from the tom boy stage!

The girls are in the 3rd grade, 4th and 5th grade winners can go on to the district Science fair.
This is them, with the judge.

Have I mentioned how much I love coffee??? We have an espresso machine in my house, I have to confess...I have no idea how to use it! Every morning my husband makes us both our own mocha before he goes to work. Its the 1st thing I think about when I'm cursing the alarm and hitting the snooze button in the morning. I love my coffee!
JB the Shih Tzu is our dog. We have had him since July of 2008. He has attached himself to me. Wherever I go he goes. Upstairs, downstairs, in the kitchen, bathroom...you name it, he is with me. His kennel is sitting right next to the computer desk and when I'm on the computer he is in it, patiently waiting to see where I will go next. It drives me bonkers for the most part! He is so damn cute... :)
Kalen is our main dog walker and Korby is in charge of always keeping him feed. He loves to bully Kalen...which is extremely funny to all of us. Kalen is taller and stronger than me, but that dog has him whooped to a T. JB listens to Korby really well. He must like the ladies the best. :)
He was a great addition to our family.

Sometime soon I will be able to show you my fun gifts for the Spring Swap I participated in and the cute "thing" I'm making for my sister's birthday......stay tuned!
