Lisa was my inspiration for buying a loom last year. She was making so many cool things, I had to give it a try. My all time favorite was this loom knitted fingerless mitten. Aren't these great? They are perfect for Fall. I need to finish the other one, but with it being the first day of Fall I had to show you at least one! :) Click on her name and it will take you to her fabulous pattern that is easy to follow along with.
I have since learned to knit with needles. But I LOVE making hats and fingerless mittens on the loom. Its very rewarding. If you don't have one travel to the nearest craft store and pick up the GREEN loom by provocraft. It has simple instructions on making a standard hat that anyone would love. For these mittens I used the blue loom. Be Careful......its kind of addicting.
(ok. i tried leaving a comment about 5 times but kept getting an error message--lets see if this works.)
ReplyDeleteanyway...love the hair and the fingerless mitten. your hair always looks good...do you go the same stylist everytime?
Tammie- Thanks for the hair compliment. Yes, I have gone to the same girl for 8 or 9 yrs now. She knows my hair well & does a great job. I love her! LOL I might finish the other mitten soon. I cant decide if they are too long? hmmm
ReplyDeleteOhh your hair looks cute!
ReplyDeleteMine is starting to go really gray too. But I'm still convincing myself it blends in with the natural blonde. I don't want to start coloring it yet.
The color looks good on you.
ReplyDeleteBeki- Thanks! I think gray blends in alot better with blonde. Once you start coloring, you never want to stop.
ReplyDeleteSuasan- thanks! I feel much better. :)
It's like cinnamon, I think :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think the mitten looks too long. Once it gets colder, you'll want as much length as you can get!
