Spiderman, Ironman, and Miss Korby

Korby woke me up at 10:45pm with a horrible earache on Thursday evening. I had been asleep about 40 mins and was dazed and confused to say the least. We were up til 2:30am and slept sitting up on the reclining couch.

When I took her into the doctor on Friday morning he couldn't believe how bad of an ear infection she had. Luckily he knows our family well, see my kids wait to tell me their ear hurts at the point when its ready to burst or in some cases already has. So my 1st response to our doctor is "Korby is supposed to be in the parade on Saturday morning. Can she still go?"

This is Lincoln's annual Star City Holiday parade. It is here the 1st Saturday of the December every year for the last 25 years. We were thrilled when Korby came home last week and said the 4th and 5th graders at her school would be in it.

There she is with the recycle sign. Did I mention how proud of her we are? :D

This year the super Heroes were at the Parade. I think this was a first. They were promoting recycling and keeping the earth clean with the kids from Korby's school.

After it was all said and done my girl returned to the couch to rest her ear. She has not taken her Elf hat off since. All and all it was a memorable experience.
