Make Your Own: Wine Cork Bullentin Board Project

This is a great project that is fun and easy to make.

My Dad had given me these interesting older frames quite awhile ago.

Wine Corks- A big thanks to Aunt Gayle for that fun contribution. :)

Measure and cut a piece of sturdy cardboard to put in the back of the frame.

I looked at this like it was a puzzle.

I fit all the corks inside the frame, before I used any glue.

You want them as close together as possible.

I wanted them to fit just perfect.

Then I used my hot glue gun to start gluing in each cork one at a time.

Always being careful not to burn my fingers.

Lets face it, the glue gun & I don't have the best history. Not cool!

This is what it looks like.

I have only glued in about half of the corks.

That's why I'm holding it at an angle.

I couldn't wait to share this with all of you.

I think I will add a coat of clear Modge Podge over the top when I'm done.

I promise to take a picture of it hanging when I'm done.

  3. i love this idea. i saw something similar where someone had taken a coffee table that had sort of like a display area with a glass overlay and they filled the whole area with corks. i think its so interesting to look at and pleasing to the eye.
