Its a Ghost Sucker Tutorial

Our daughter, Korby, is doing her 1st oral book report today.

The teacher wanted it to be fun for the kids, he told them "be creative".

Korby is 10yrs old & obsessed with any type of Ghost stories.

She picked the book called The Old Willis Place By Mary Downing Hawn.

We decided it would be fun & unique for her to pass out a ghost to the class.

Ever made tootsie pop ghosts?

You will need:
1 tootsie pop sucker per child
Kleenex
string or yarn
black marker
scissors

Take one sucker & place in side of 1 Kleenex

Tie a piece of string tightly around the base of the sucker & cut off extra string

Draw on 2 eyes with a black marker

(make sure to wear a dirty sweatshirt when taking blog pictures) LOL

Pass out to friends!

See...wasn't that easy?
Korbys plan is to stroll into the classroom dressed in this Ghost costume.

The original Ghostbusters song will be playing for the class.

She will present her thoughts on the book, without giving away how it ends.

Turn the music back on and pass out Ghosts to all her classmates.

All in the name of a Great book!

  1. what an adorable idea. i love fun projects like this and the teachers who encourage them.

my son had to do an oral report on a scientist and was told by his teacher to have fun with it. he decided to write a rap. i, being the kick ass white rapper with skillz that i am, helped him out. he said when he performed it his class and teacher loved it and he got 110%. it was definitely one of those learning moments that i think will stay with him.
