She is in the 5th grade.
If you know me at all, you know that I am not a Husker football fan or fan of any football for that matter.
My entire family LOVES Husker football.
This story brought a tear to my husband's eye & a huge smile to my face.
I had to blog about it.
The assignment was to think of an event you will remember when you are old. It may be memorable because it taught you an important lesson, brought out strong emotions, or helped you in some way. Write a personal narrative/memoir about what happened so that if you read this story again when you are 80, every detail will seem as clear as if it happened yesterday.
We get tickets every year from our Great Grandpa Cal. My brother gets to go to most of the Husker games, but I get to go to one game. Every single year I can't wait. I get all excited inside and can't sit still, I'm shaking with excitement.
I went to the Kansas game at Memorial Stadium. My Dad and I got to go on the field. I saw tons of Husker players. Henry, Martinez, Hulo jr, and I saw Bo Pelini. I got high fives from a lot of the players.
We got to our seats and the game began. They started playing the song Can You Feel It. Then walked out the Huskers. I payed very close attention to the game. Then it was half time, so you go outside. There is over 100 concession stands with cookies, pop, popcorn, pizza, runza, pies, corn dogs, to much food. I got a cookie and a coke.
I am so thankful for the Husker tickets every year. Its the things I cant wait for every single year.
What a sweet story! You are right to be so proud of her :)
