At our second stop I wandered across this "old school" telephone. It brought back memories of being younger. My Great Grandma had one of these that hung on the dining room wall, the cord seemed like it could stretch for miles. Can you remember how loud the ring was when someone was calling? These were great. Definitely something of the past.
So I had Korby come over and take a look at it. You would have thought we were in the antique phone museum!
"Mom, I don't understand how people could even use this thing." was Korbys response. She tried to twist the number and was very confused. LOL This is a picture of her and that phone. We had a great time junking together. We found her a few shirts and a pair of shorts. She is a lot of fun to shop with. Shes still at that age where I'm kinda cool, name brands don't matter, & we can laugh at silly stuff.

Tonight was the 1st ever Prescott Summer Fun festival at Korby's school. There was a lot of fun art projects for kids, music, bubbles, food, popcorn, storytelling, & more. I volunteered at the PTO table for an hour. They had an excellent turn out and the weather cooperated.
I even got interviewed for the local newspaper. The reporter wanted to know what kinds of things that moms were doing with their kids over the summer. I forgot to mention all the refereeing I have been doing with my kids. ;o)
As you can see, Korby was not at all thrilled about having her picture taken with me.
Happy Friday!

oh what fun! I remember how annoying it was if someone had multiple zeros in their phone number because it took so long for the dial to come back around. LOL!
