I finished sewing my very own hand bag!

This is the bag I started last night and blogged about here.

I woke up this morning and decided I was going to finish this bag today! After carefully reading and rereading, because that's just how I am. I pinned, cut fabric, read some more, dealt with children, started laundry, and eventually created my very own Phoebe bag. I have to say, I love it when blogs give free patterns. Thanks to Beki at artsycraftybabe we can all give this pattern a try!

I left out a few things mainly because I dint have them here and this was my 1st try. I didn't use the fusible interfacing or flap with magnetic snap. I think it turned out great! I used this Amy Butler that I bought awhile back on Etsy. She has some of the coolest fabric out there!

Here is a picture of the inside. This fabric was meant to be used together. There is a handy pocket in there for keys, phone, lip stuff, etc... I cant wait to put all my stuff from the other bag into here tonight. If you are in the mood to sew a cute and easy to make hand bag, this is the one for you.

  2. Tammie- I got a little turned around on attaching the handle. Other than that I would rate it easy. I have to take it one step at a time or I get overwhelmed. Its smaller than I usually like. Try it and let me know what you think. :)
